I enjoy working at Green Meadows Hair Co. & Spa because it is an environment in which I can really grow. The management invests in learning all kinds; of new techniques in cutting styling, hair color, and service enhancements to ensure the highest quality and value for our clients.

I earned my Barber license in 2023. I am a relative newcomer to this salon, however I grew up in salons, as my mom is a licensed Cosmetologist. I provide cuts, styles, and colors for men and women. I really enjoy doing hot shaves.

On my time away from the salon I spend most of my time in the gym working out. I enjoy my mornings;  with a great cup of Coffee!!

I have always been passionate about art, science, and helping others. I love seeing others glow from within and radiate outward! Ever since 2021, I discovered the world of skincare, fell in love, completely dove in, and began my journey. This journey has led me to many opportunities and has given me the chance to grow and help others see how naturally beautiful they truly are. I graduated in October 2021 from Paul Mitchell the School of Columbia and graduated in February 2022 from the National Laser Institute. I am a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Laser Technician. 

My passion for aesthetics continues to grow, as does my knowledge which I love sharing with others. Aveda has been a grounding home where I can use the power of touch with the power of plants and the positive energy needed to guide you throughout your Aveda treatment. From facials to dermaplaning, and diamond microdermabrasion, we at Green Meadow’s can offer you an array of tailored and effective treatments to best suit your skin needs. I can’t wait to take you on a journey of ritualistic aromas and dreams.

Styling hair has been a creative outlet for me since I was a young girl, beginning by doing my mother’s roller sets and seeing the transformation that resulted from my efforts. Creating looks for friends and family was just a fun hobby for many years until I decided as a young woman to go to cosmetology school to support myself and my family. 

Being in this industry since 1989 continues to bring me the joy and satisfaction of meeting new friends and making others' wishes come true. As part of the team at Green Meadow’s Hair Co. & Spa, I am committed to providing services with excellence. We choose to use the Aveda product line to enhance and promote the health and beauty of your hair and skin in the process of creating that perfect look.

I still love what happens each time I have the opportunity to take an idea, use my expertise to create a look, and transform a person’s vision of themselves. It promotes a feeling of natural well-being and beauty. 

I’ve held a position as an inventory specialist here at Green Meadows Hair Co & Spa since March 2024. I’ve been a client here for decades and have been an AVEDA consumer over the last couple of years. I love to organize as much as I love the environment and spending time in nature as well as with my family. 

I have been a hairstylist since 1972 and can’t imagine doing anything else. I had worked for a corporate salon as a stylist and manager and spent many years as a hair color educator before joining the staff at Green Meadows Hair Co. & Spa. I enjoy all aspects of the industry but really enjoy doing hair color and extension services.

Karyn has been working as the Inventory Specialist at GMHCo & Spa since June 2007. 

Originally from the East Coast, Karyn was born and raised in Connecticut and earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Maine where she also lived for over 20 years in the greater Portland area.  Though Karyn has had many and varied other jobs over the years, her teaching career has spanned over 30 years, specializing in Literacy Education and general education from Early Childhood through the fifth grade.

Karyn and her family have been making Columbia their home off and on since 1994 and more permanently since 2004. Karyn has been married to the man of her dreams since 1992 and is the mother to two grown sons.

I am a hometown girl having attended school and growing up here in Columbia, MO.

I have been part of the team here at Green Meadows Hair CO & Spa, for almost 13 years. A relaxing, enjoyable, and seamless experience is my goal for every client here at Green Meadows. 

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and grandchildren.

Graduating from the Springfield Beauty Academy in 1962 launched my career in the Beauty Industry. I have owned my salon, worked for other salon owners, managed a corporate Salon chain, and worked as an Inspector for the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology, all before joining the team at Green Meadows Hair Co. & Spa.

I love Cutting, Styling, Perming, and coloring hair. I most enjoy visiting with my clients and friends.

My Clients and I enjoy the openness and natural light here at Green Meadows, not to mention the easy access parking!



When not in the salon I love Holiday Decorating for events and homes, specialty baking, and traveling! I have enjoyed the opportunity to travel and share in the excitement as the Tigers and Chiefs went onto Bowl games in the past few years.

I attended cosmetology school in 2022 at Paul Mitchell the School. Upon completion of school, and earning my Cosmetology License, I started working at Green Meadows Hair Co and Spa. 

I grew up dreaming of being a stylist and started learning as much as I could at the age of 12. I am so grateful I get this opportunity to grow relationships with clients and bless them, by helping them look and feel their best. A few of my favorite services are Color/Blonding, Formal Styles and Updos, Braiding, and Haircutting. I would love to see you in my chair!
